This is the boy,
"Scout" - who arrived here from Carol Laubscher's Regalia Farms
in Pennsylvania and took over!
He’s as happy and fun-loving as any dog could be, and he
shares his excitement with everyone!
We got Scout at nine weeks and he matured into everything we hoped
for - beautiful thick, harsh coat, tons of bone and substance, effortless
yet driving movement, perfect head and tiny ears, tight feet, solid topline
and that ever-so-important tightly curled tail on an excellent set!
Best of all, Scout is a dream of a personality - lots of flash and
attitude, but a loving soft sweetheart at the same time – a very
HAPPY dog!
We bought Scout with plans of introducing
some of the qualities his daddy "Eagle" has made himself known
for. Scout certainly carries 'the
look' and if he produces as well as he does everything else, he will
surpass anything we could have imagined.
One look at his pedigree is convincing – most of the real
greats of the Akita world! Scout’s first
babies were recently born, and they look gorgeous! See photos HERE!
Scout went to his first show on June 18th
2002, and what a
show he made - he won a 5 point major!
He was barely a year old. The following day he was reserve to a 5
point major. His next circuit was in Colorado and he won a 3-point major at the first show,
and another 3-point major the next weekend!
On September 14th, he traveled to Kansas City and won a 4 point major, finishing his
championship in style – with 4 majors!
We’re hoping this lovely dog
will have just as much of an impact on our breeding program as he had on
the show ring. He was bred to our
beautiful Ch. Shawnee, and their puppies look incredible at this early
stage!
Scout
is co-owned with Tylin Akitas in Idaho, who
love and admire him just as much as we do!
