HOKA-HEY’S RYDER ON THE STORM, CGC
This beautiful boy is “RYDER”, and he
is owned by Shawn and Barbara Davis in Idaho. He is also our own Comanche's litter brother,
their mom being our beloved "Scarlet".
Ryder has been
owner-handled by Barb for all his wins, and I think she and Shawn are very
proud of him!! Ryder is a big, beautiful brindle boy, with powerful yet
effortless movement, an impressive wide, strong front, low set hocks,
wonderful tight feet, a nice short back and a high set tail. And he has a
wonderful and charming personality! His best friend when Shawn and Barb are
at work is "Frog", a little male Jack Russell terrier. I think he
likes our "Jenga", the alien Basenji, too!
Ryder is OFA Good
Tragically, at five years of age Ryder joined the ranks of Catcher kids
diagnosed with SA.
He’s one of the lucky ones though, because Barb and Shawn are committed
to keeping him as happy and comfortable as is humanly possible. As Barbara Bouyet has said, God sends the
needy ones to people like them, because he knows they have the heart to love
and care for them.
Sadly, on August 15th, 2007, the big, beautiful, indomitable Ryder died. He
was one month short of his 11th birthday. The fact that he lived
such a long happy life is a direct result of the love and devoted care given
tirelessly by Barb and Shawn. For all they did, I am forever grateful. Rest in peace big boy. Shed the confines of
your sick body and be the free spirit you always were. I hope I have the
honor to see you again some day.
